We live on Vancouver Island, in the province of British Columbia....the westernmost province of CANADA.
We are in a rural area between the Town of Ladysmith to the south of us and the City of Nanaimo
to the north of us. Ladysmith is about a 10 min drive south, and the southern edge of Nanaimo is about the same distance.
Ladysmith is a small, friendly heritage-style town of about 7,000 population. Our nearest high school...Ladysmith
Secondary School..is there, and that is the school our daughter takes the school bus to. Nanaimo is the second-largest
city on Vancouver Island, with a population of almost 80,000. To many of our visitors Nanaimo seems like a very quiet
place with few people..but it is a big city for us!
